Derrick Maddox Studio Visit for BAILA con Duende

Derrick Maddox’s artwork bursts with meaning and metaphor. He creates poetry with images appropriated, painted and glued to white bread. His work is socially-political charged and invites conversation about race and spiritualism. Derrick received his MFA from CalArts. This studio visit with Derrick was conducted and photographed on July 31, 2012 by Lili Bernard for the curating of BAILA con Duende.
